06| Eyes of Mercy

Her mom was 40, when she was born.
She had to learn quickly, how to conform.
To fit into their world; Fast forward 30 years,
things have now changed.
She’s caring for her momma,
but she never complains,
with a smile on her face and mercy in her eyes.

Eyes of Mercy, and a heart of love,
she sees the world with innocence,
sees God’s beauty from above.
Such a blessing she grew up to be.
A beautiful example for all the world to see.
And it challenges me, eyes of mercy.

He grew up to be an extraordinary man.
Although his time on earth was brief,
God has a very special plan.
His story is not over.
Nathan loved others and he’d go that extra mile to lighten your load,
just to see you smile.
It was his eyes you were drawn to,
Eyes so full of love.

Eyes of Mercy, and a heart of love,
this world was marked by his tenderness.
Knew his compassion just because,
Such a blessing he grew up to be.
A beautiful example for all the world to see.
And it challenges me, eyes of mercy.

I’m telling their story,
singing their song of eyes that see the best,
and ignore the worst and just carry on.
They chose to see, in their hearts believe,
Eyes of Mercy, and a heart of love.
And it challenges me, Eyes of Mercy
